 Overview

• Each Area can nominate up to 2 Regions from their Area. 
• Section Staff Administrators will oversee the selection of the award-winning Region.
• All nominated Regions will be recognized.  The award-winning Region will be recognized at the EXPO’s Saturday Award Luncheon in Chattanooga TN hosted in February 2026.

1)     Tracie L McCormick will distribute these instructions and the “Nomination Form” to all Area Directors in Section 5. 

2)     Each Area can nominate up to 2 of their Regions for the Section 5 “Region of the Year” Award. All sections of the form will need to be filled out to be eligible for the award. 

3)     AD’s must submit their forms to Tracie L McCormick by December 15th, 2025. 

4)     The SD and Section Staff Administrators will oversee the selection of the Regions for the awards.  Nominees will be notified by email or letter of their nomination.

5)     Recognition will be given to all nominated Regions. Winning Region will receive a special award at the EXPO’s Saturday Award Luncheon in Chattanooga, TN hosted in February 2026.

Overview

1. Each Region can nominate up to 3 registered volunteers from their Region.  Each Area can nominate one registered volunteer from their Area staff.
2. Nominations will be separated into categories: Coach, Referee, Youth Referee, Management, and Instructor.
3. Section Staff Administrators will oversee the selection of each category winner(s).
4. One overall Section 5 Volunteer of the Year from all Categories submitted.
5. All nominees will be recognized.  Each category winner will be recognized at the EXPO’s Saturday Award Luncheon in Chattanooga, TN hosted in February 2026.

Program Procedures

1)     Tracie L McCormick will distribute these instructions and the “Nomination Form” to all EM's in Section 5.  

2)     Each Region can nominate up to 3 of their volunteers for Section 5 “Volunteer of the Year” Award. Each Area can nominate one Area Staff member. The RC/AD or designee will completely fill out the nomination form. All sections of the form will need to be filled out to be eligible for the award.  The form must indicate which category the nominee(s) are being nominated for (coach, referee, youth referee, management, or instructor).  A nominee can only be checked (nominated) for one category even if they hold multiple positions in the Region/Area.  For example, Region 1999 wants to nominate Joan Doe.  Joan Doe is a referee and CVPA (management).  You can only nominate her for one of the two positions she holds.

3)  Forms must be submitted by December 15, 2025.  

4)     The SD and Section Staff Administrators will oversee the selection of the volunteers for the awards.  Nominees will be notified by email or letter of their nomination.

6) You should receive a email response after you submitted your volunteers names from the Section Director or Staff Administrators.
